Awakenings: Resilience in Literature
This year’s Marathon Read is Awakenings: Resilience in Literature. We have in mind the power literature possesses to wake us from our many slumbers—emotional, intellectual, political, sexual, spiritual. Resilience showcases our ability to overcome personal and collective adversity, remaking worlds in which people rise, resist, rebuild, and rest.
