This workshop with Jeanine Staples-Dixon and Phoebe Quaynor examines the complexities of Ghana's multilingual education policy through the lens of teacher “interiority.” Drawing on Staples-Dixon's "interior life" frameworks (2023, 2024) and engaging with elementary school teacher reflections, participants will explore how teachers navigate the complexities of multilingual education.
The workshop also builds on Quaynor’s research examining the complexities of how teachers and students navigate linguistic identity and agency in the face of lingering colonial pedagogies.
