Conversation with Irina Troconis (Cornell University): Irina Troconis, author of The Necromantic State: Spectral Remains in the Afterglow of Venezuela’s Bolivarian Revolution (Duke University Press, 2025), will be discussing her methodological and theoretical approaches and reflecting on what it means to research and write about pressing contemporary issues from the perspective of the humanities. Relevant examples of Troconis's work will be pre-circulated to facilitate the discussion. This conversation is open to interested graduate students and faculty members.
