Penn State&rsqu o;s Department of Communication Arts and Sciences (CAS) will host t he Summer Symposium on Harry Shearer’s “Le Show" August 1–3. The select, interdisciplinary symposium will feature present ations and discussions centered around the soon-to-be-completed archive dedicated to Shearer’s long-running radio program, “Le Show. ”
Part of the Library of Congress’s American Archive o f Public Broadcasting, the “Le Show” archive will provide on line access to more than 2,000 programs and pre-recorded elements digiti zed from Shearer’s own collection. Its accompanying exhibit was cu rated by Rosa Eberly, associate professor of rhetoric in the CAS and Eng lish departments.
