Penn State’s Department of Communication Arts and Sciences (CAS) will host the Summer Symposium on Harry Shearer’s “Le Show" August 1–3. The select, interdisciplinary symposium will feature presentations and discussions centered around the soon-to-be-completed archive dedicated to Shearer’s long-running radio program, “Le Show.”

Part of the Library of Congress’s American Archive of Public Broadcasting, the “Le Show” archive will provide online access to more than 2,000 programs and pre-recorded elements digitized from Shearer’s own collection. Its accompanying exhibit was curated by Rosa Eberly, associate professor of rhetoric in the CAS and English departments.
