The Penn State Italian Student Society—in collaboration with the depar tments of Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese and African American Studies, Humanities Institute, Center for Global Studies, and the Consulate Gene ral of Italy in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania—has invited Italo-Egypt ian rapper Amir Issaa to Penn State University Park. Amir will be partic ipating in a roundtable discussion about Italian identities, Black Lives Matter movement and diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging in Ital y, and his experience as an Italian with an Egyptian father and Italian mother. He will also give a hip-hop concert performance later in the eve ning. Both events will take place on Thursday, November 9. Admission is free for both, but RSVPs are recommended through OrgCentral.
