SUMMARY:Workshop by Dr. Laura Gurzynski-Weiss (Indiana University): \"Individual
Differences in the L2 Classroom: Maximizing learning opportunities for
	all\"
DESCRIPTION:\nDr. Laura&nbsp\;Gurzynski-Weiss is an Associate Professor
in the Department of Spanish and Portuguese at Indiana University.\n\nOn
e of the most fascinating questions at the heart of second/additional la
nguage (L2) learning and teaching is why there is such variability when
it comes to L2 learning outcomes\, especially compared to how native lan
guage(s) are learned to such a proficient degree. In this workshop\, we
will explore how learner individual differences (such as motivation\, id
eal self\, age of L2 onset\, among others) play a role in L2 learning. A
ttendees will be guided through options for measuring the IDs of most re
levance for classroom contexts\, take stock of their teaching practices
and IDs as language teachers\, and ensure their current practices maximi
ze learning opportunities for all.&nbsp\;\n\nFor more details: https://e
