DESCRIPTION:\nWhy Materials Matter will meet 6 times during the 2022-23 
	Academic Year. Our goal is to foster interdisciplinary discussions about
	 materials\, primarily (but not strictly limited to) those used for the 
	production of art. We will have brief\, informal presentations related t
	o a theme\, followed by an open forum for discussion. Themes include mat
	erials characterization\, provenance\, acquisition and supply chain issu
	es\, properties of materials (both new and old)\, materials conservation
