White Rabbit Red Rabbit by Nassim Soleimanpour
Forbidden to leave his country, Soleimanpour distilled the experience of an entire generation in a wild, utterly original play. “White Rabbit Red Rabbit” is a work about contemporary Iran and of Soleimanpour’s generation — a generation born amidst the hardship of the Iran-Iraq war; a generation of computer-literate, well-informed young people who have never known an Iran other than the Islamic Republic.
This theatrical experience hopes to answer unanswerable questions about relationships, community, international cultures, and theatrical environments. A short talk back will occur after every performance.
This unique show features no rehearsals, no director, and no set, and a different actor reads the script cold for the first time at each performance.
Featuring Malena Ramirez, Timothy Lewis, Lauren Weber, Dr. Nalini Krishnankutty, Dr. Sam Richards, and Henry Ragan.
