“Thy Kingdom Come: Male Supremacy in Patriot Church Politics and Theology”

This research talk explores White Christian nationalist visions of the state through a close examination of the Patriot Church. Drawing on Patriot Church sermons, a visit to the Patriot Church, and an interview with its head pastor, it examines Christian nationalist religious doctrine and political thought in order to gain insight into what an idealized White Christian nationalist future might look like and what implications that future would hold for the rights of women and LGBTQ+ people.
