Labor Management by Chinese Corporations in the United States

Chinese multinational corporations (CMNCs) have become one of the largest sources of foreign direct investment (FDI) globally, with the United States as a leading recipient. Based on an in-depth case study, this talk will examine the various coercive and soft tactics employed by CMNCs in managing labor relations in the United States, highlighting a range of strategies—including compliance, adaptation, negotiation, rejection, and dictation—that they use.
