The Latina/o Studies Speaker Series presents this talk by Professor Lena Burgos-Lafuente (Associate Professor of Hispanic Languages and Literatures, Stony Brook University) on Puerto Rican visual artist Lorenzo Homar. The talk will establish a dialogue between Homar's work and the context of the Cold War, as experienced in the peripherial circumstances of Puerto Rico and its colonial relationship with the United States.
