SUMMARY:Staying Abroad: Unpacking the Embeddedness and Careers of Long-Term Expa
	triates
DESCRIPTION:About the Presentation\n\nResearch on expatriation has tradi
tionally centered on single\, temporary international assignments\, with
limited attention to how expatriates’ experiences evolve over time. Bas
ed on our recent conceptual work\, this webinar sets out to investigate
the reasons and processes behind expatriates’ decision to extend their w

ddedness with expatriate lifestyle embeddedness—introduced as a novel th
ird dimension—to provide a more comprehensive understanding of expatriat
es’ embeddedness and its influence on their career decisions. We explore
both the intrapersonal and interpersonal implications of long-term expa
triation and identify critical areas of future research to further our u
nderstanding of the key attributes and international experiences that ch
	aracterize long-term expatriates.\n\nAbout the Speakers\n\nJan Selmer is
