DESCRIPTION:\nJasbir K. Puar is a professor at The Institute for Gender\
	, Race\, Sexuality\, and Social Justice at the University of British Col
	umbia.\n\nPuar is the author of The Right to Maim: Debility\, Capacity\,
	 Disability (Duke University Press\, 2017) which has been translated int
	o Spanish and Portuguese\, and Terrorist Assemblages: Homonationalism in
	 Queer Times (Duke University Press\, 2007)\, which won the 2007 Cultura
	l Studies Book Award from the Association for Asian American Studies\, a
	nd is available in French and Spanish\, re-issued as an expanded version
	 for its 10th anniversary (2017)\, and forthcoming in Greek and Portugue
	se. Puar is currently completing her third book\, titled Slow Life: Sett
	ler Colonialism in Five Parts.\n\nHer articles have been published in jo
	urnals such as Social Text and South Atlantic Quarterly\, mainstream ven
	ues such as Al-Jazeera and The Guardian\, and translated into more than 
	fifteen languages. Puar’s edited volumes include “Queer Tourism: Geograp
	hies of Globalization” (GLQ: A Journal of Lesbian and Gay Studies)\; and
	 co-edited volumes on “Sexuality and Space” (Society and Space)\; “Inter
	species” (Social Text)\; and “Viral” (Women’s Studies Quarterly).\n\nPua
	r is also co-author of exhibitions for the Sharjah Architecture Triennia
