Joshua Billings is the author of an award-winning book on the role of Greek tragedy in modern intellectual history, Genealogy of the Tragic: Greek Tragedy and German Philosophy (Princeton UP, 2014). His current project examines the dramatic presentation of mythical figures in ancient Athens.
