The College of the Liberal Arts’ Committee on Diversity, Inclusion, and Transformation and the Dean’s Office will host a training for students, faculty, and staff that is designed to build a campus culture of solidarity and help individuals who may be unsure of how (and even whether) to respond when confronted by oppressive harassment.
Steve Chase and Deborah Mathis from the International Center on Nonviolent Conflict will lead the training on action strategies for confronting oppressive harassment, building a campus culture of solidarity, and crafting media strategies to support this work. Participants should plan to attend all six hours of the training. There will be a break from noon–1:00 p.m. for lunch and additional breaks throughout the event.
