He attended Ithaca College and earned a Bachelor of Arts in writing with minors in politics and sport studies. Tal was passionate about finding an opportunity that involved advocacy\, community engagement\, and direct impact for after graduation. Alissa Krutoff, City Year

Alis sa Krutoff currently serves as a Senior Recruitment  Manager in the East Region based in the Philadelphia area.  Al issa joined the Philadelphia recruitment team in 2011.  After 3 1/2 years Alissa moved to Miami to join the South region and returned to the Northeast in August 2017.

Alissa is original ly from Cherry Hill, NJ and graduated from The University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelors Degree in Communications and The History of Art and Arc hitecture, but it was her time outside of the classroom that inspired he r to being a career in Higher Education.  Following graduation she worked as a Traveling Educational Consultant for her national sorority A lpha Epsilon Phi.  After successfully leading the colonization proc ess at The University of Central Florida, she was hired back as The Dire ctor of New Group Development.  Alissa received her Maste rs in Higher Education from Rowan University in Glassboro, NJ. &nbs p;

Tal Mintz, Teach fo r America

During his two-year commitment as a corps member with TFA, Tal had the enormous privilege to teach and work with over 500 students. Tal now lives in Philadelphia, Pa with his girlfriend, Oli via, and their dog, Wilco.

Andrew Maguire, Peace Corps 

As Penn State’s dedicated Peace Corps Recruiter, Andrew wo rks to spread the word about Peace Corps, assists interested individuals in understanding the Peace Corps experience and helps candidates naviga te the application and interview process.

Andrew earned his B.S. i n Mechanical Engineering from Penn State University and shortly after gr aduation, left to serve as a Peace Corps Volunteer working on water and sanitation projects in rural Kenya. He has subsequently had a successful engineering career in the water and wastewater industry, working on pro jects around the world. His recent transition to his recruiter position is derived from his passion to talking about his career journey and the how impactful his Peace Corps experience was.
