“Silent Signals: Unpacking the Hidden Threats in Communication”

Step inside the world of criminal profiling with Frank Marsh, a Penn State alumnus and tradecraft specialist with the U.S. Marine Corps Intelligence Activity. Marsh is a former FBI Academy instructor and member of the bureau’s legendary Behavioral Science Unit—the real-life experts behind “Mindhunter” and “The Silence of the Lambs.” He has also served as a training supervisor for the National Drug Intelligence Center, an intelligence analyst with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, and an intelligence officer in the U.S. Marine Corps.

An expert in communication analysis, interrogation methods, and the “psychology of evil,” Marsh has assisted numerous law enforcement agencies in criminal investigations and was featured in the History Channel’s “The Secrets of Body Language” documentary.

In this fascinating talk, Marsh will explore how to identify and respond to both explicit and implicit threats in communication. A Q&A will follow, including advice on careers in federal law enforcement and intelligence.
