DESCRIPTION:\n“Gender as ‘a symbolic glue’ vis-à-vis Reproductive Racism
	: Shortcomings and gaps in current approaches to anti-immigration and an
	ti-gender stances”\n\nThis talk critically examines current scholarly ap
	proaches to the converge of anti-immigration and anti-gender agendas amo
	ngst a variety of political actors. Focusing on the lack of meaningfully
	 engagements with race\, this talk proposes Sophia Siddiqui´s notion of 
	reproductive racism as an alternative to the gender as ‘a symbolic glue’
	 paradigm.\n\nMaria Elena Indelicato (she\, her\, hers) obtained her doc
	toral degree at the Department of Gender and Cultural Studies\, Universi
	ty of Sydney. Currently\, she is a CEEC FCT researcher at the Centre for
	 Social Studies and co-editor of the section ‘Anti-Racism/Mobilisations 
	and Resistance’ of the forthcoming Routledge Encyclopedia of Race and Ra
