“The Violence of Empire:Anti-Trans Activism Online in the United States and United Kingdom”

Although transphobia is often siloed from or considered incidental to other parts of white far-right ideology, I argue that it is in fact constitutive of white supremacist worldviews. This paper uses a decolonial framework to understand themes and discourses in online anti-trans activism in the United States and United Kingdom.

Anna A. Meier (she/her) is assistant professor of politics and international relations at the University of Nottingham. Her work employs ethnographic and archival methods to study white supremacy and white supremacist violence.
