The Mary E. Rolling Reading Series presents Shara McCallum and Andrew Bode-Lang

From Jamaica of Jamaican and Venezuelan parentage, Shara McCallum is the author of seven books published in the United States and United Kingdom, most recently Behold. Appointed a 2026–27 Cheney Creative Fellow at the University of Leeds, McCallum is an Edwin Erle Sparks Professor of English at Penn State University.

Andrew Bode-Lang’s poetry chapbook, My Time in the Circus, is a winner of the 2026 Rattle Chapbook Prize. His poems and stories have appeared in journals including Epoch, The Greensboro Review, and New Letters; his fiction chapbook, Field Trips with Exceptional People, is available from Red Bird Chapbooks. He is a teaching professor of English at Penn State.
