SUMMARY:Religion and/as Technology: Re-entering the Public Sphere
DESCRIPTION:\nReligion has a fraught history and role in the public sphe
re. Its meaning is constantly being negotiated\, and it is often used as
a bulwark for socio-political agendas. However\, recent developments in
politics and economics\, as well as cutting edge technologies from CRIS
PR to AI\, pose significant challenges to religion\, threatening its who
lesale retreat from public discourse. In this presentation I consider a
strategic intervention in the public understanding of religion by redesc
ribing it through the lens of technology. I argue for &rsquo\;technologi
	sed&rsquo\; religion&rsquo\;s re-entry to the public sphere\, highlighti
ng its disruptive and transformative potential.\n\nFor more details: htt
