“Kneeling Before the Elders: a Conversation on Radical Wellness” with Alicia Anabel Santos

This workshop answers the questions: What do the ancestors require of us? Lo que se sabe no se pregunta! What is known is not asked!

Kneeling Before the Elders is a conversation on how one woman found her way to radical wellness, priesthood, and the importance of connecting to ancestral wisdom. In this workshop I offer spiritual tools rooted in African Traditional Religion, which can assist us in reclaiming the spiritual practices that were stolen from us.

Alicia Anabel Santos is a writer, producer, playwright, speaker, activist, teaching artist, Afrolatina lesbian storyteller, and priestess.

In 2019, she launched LA SANTERA offering clients support as they deepen their spiritual practice, facilitating workshops such as Introduction to La Regla de Ocha (Lucumi), Healing Anti-Blackness, and The Dark Room.  She was born in Brooklyn, New York, and is a proud Dominican writer.
