Transforming Racial Fiction into Ethnic Factions\, a comparative histori
cal analysis of US ethnic groups&rsquo\; racialization\, \;was honor
ed by inclusion in the \;Zora Canon\, a list of the best 100 books w
ritten by an African American woman. \;Bashi Treitler&rsquo\;s schol
arship theorizes about the dynamics and hierarchies involved in socioeco
nomic processes like nation\, race\, ethnicity\, and migration.\n\nDr. T
reitler is completing a memoir\, \;Schooled\, \;about her lifeti
me engagement with learning and higher education. She knows all about su
