Talking Trash: A Reading and Conversation

Nicole Cooley will discuss her new project and read documentary poetry about trash and the Metro New York area. She is the author of seven books of poems, including Mother Water Ash. Her first book, Resurrection, won the Walt Whitman Award. Raised in New Orleans, Cooley is professor of English in the Master of Fine Arts Program for Creative Writing and Literary Translation at Queens College, CUNY, and lives outside of New York City with her family.
