SUMMARY:Migration and Business: Current Issues and Future Trends
DESCRIPTION:\nOver the past decades\, global migration patterns have bee
	n undergoing significant\, although often underestimated\, transformatio
ns. The directionality\, geographic spread\, climate and urban migration
\, and skills involved have resulted in changes in demand and supply of
the workforce. In turn\, this has affected corporate human resource mana
gement and social sustainability practices as well as the diversity\, in
clusion\, and internationalization strategies of firms. In this presenta
tion\, Aida Hajro and Milda Žilinskaitė address the implications of thes
e changes for the activities of multinational enterprises and highlight
many unanswered questions and avenues for future research.\n\nThe presen
tation is based on evidence from the interdisciplinary literature and su
pported by the first-hand insights from the Advisory Board members – lea
ding scholars\, seasoned practitioners\, and policy and human rights exp
erts – of the international Migration\, Business and Society (MBS) netwo
rk. One of the MBS board members\, Paul Baldassari\, will be joining the
presentation to share concrete managerial implications from his migrati
on management experience as the executive vice president of operations s
trategy and former chief human resources officer at the multinational el
ectronics manufacturer Flex Ltd.\n\nFor more details: https://events.la.
