CANCELED Liberal Arts Career Week: Taking Your Writing Public: How to Leverage Your Writing for Career Development

Due to inclement weather at Penn State University Park resulting in a campus closure, all in-person events scheduled for Wednesday, January 25 have been canceled.

This in-person event will discuss ways in which students can get involved in public writing opportunities both on and off-campus.

Sponsored by the Liberal Arts Career Enrichment Network and Penn State Learning's Public Writing Initiative, this panel reveals how to leverage an interest in writing into professional experience for career development.

Participants will learn from other students about various publications, internships, and opportunities that focus on writing and publishing for public audiences, build resume experience, and offer networking opportunities. There will be time for questions and discussion.

The panel will feature invited student speakers from

  • The Daily Collegian,
  • VALLEY,
  • the University Libraries internships, and
  • The Digital English Studio.

Liberal Arts Career Week is sponsored by the Liberal Arts Career Enrichment Network. Visit the Liberal Arts Career Week website for more information.
