We Are/We Were: Histories of Penn State Students Shaping Who and What Penn State is For
A Student-Curated Pop-up Exhibit

Join the students of HIST 148 The History of Penn State for a special, one-hour pop-up exhibit featuring primary source materials from the Penn State University Libraries’ archives. This student-curated showcase highlights pivotal moments—large and small—in the University’s history, told through the lens of the students who lived them.

Explore documents, photographs, and artifacts that reveal how generations of Penn Staters have shaped campus culture, advanced equity and inclusion, transformed student life, and sparked lasting change. Topics include early THON history, civil rights organizing, Title IX milestones, student activism across decades, housing and campus-life debates, environmental advocacy, and more.

Drop in anytime to browse the exhibits, meet the student curators, and learn how archival materials bring Penn State’s past to life. Cookies will be served!
