DESCRIPTION:\nJoin the Humanities Institute for a Public Humanities in t
	he Classroom Workshop&nbsp\;on &ldquo\;Community Engaged Courses and Pub
	lic Partnerships.&rdquo\;&nbsp\;\n\nThis workshop will introduce forms o
	f community-directed learning experiences\, community engagement\, and d
	eveloping meaningful public partnerships. Participants will take the ini
	tial steps toward creating a community-engaged component to one of their
	 courses and leave with a plan for the next stages.\n\nLed by Public Hum
	anities Postdoctoral Fellow Elizabeth Gray\, the workshops will introduc
	e faculty and graduate students to forms of project-based learning\, com
	munity engagement\, and public partnerships. Participants will develop a
	 public humanities component to an existing course and leave with a tool
	kit of approaches that can be applied in the classroom. The workshops ca
