DESCRIPTION:\nStanislav Aseyev is a Donetsk-born Ukrainian writer and jo
	urnalist. In 2014\, under the penname Stanislav Vasin\, he published &nb
	sp\;reports in Ukrainian press about the situation on the ground followi
	ng the outbreak of Russian-sponsored military hostilities in Donbas. Arr
	ested and unlawfully imprisoned by pro-Russian militia forces for &ldquo
	\;extremism&rdquo\; and &ldquo\;spying&rdquo\; in 2017\, Aseyev was held
	 captive and subjected to mistreatment and intermittent torture for over
	 two and a half years. A collection of his dispatches entitledIn Isolati
	on (2018) was published while he was still in captivity. Following his r
	elease\, Aseyev published an autobiographical work entitled The Torture 
	Camp on Paradise Street (2020)\, which describes his time in an illegal 
	prison known as &nbsp\;&quot\;Izoliatsia&quot\; &nbsp\;and the mistreatm
	ent and torture that prisoners experienced there at the hands of the Rus
	sian-controlled administration. For his journalistic work in the conflic
	t zone\,he received the Norwegian Free Media Award 2020\, as well as Ukr
	aine&rsquo\;s National Freedom of Expression Award 2020 and the National
	 Shevchenko Prize 2021. This year\, Aseyev also founded Justice Initiati
	ve Fund\, which gathers information about Russian war crimes &nbsp\;in &
	nbsp\;Ukraine to make sure the identified perpetrators face justice.\n\n
