Butterfly Vision
Ukrainian filmmaker Maksym Nakonechnyi finished his war drama Butterfly Vision in February, 2022, just days before Russia’s full-scale invasion. The film tells a fictional story about a female Ukrainian soldier held prisoner for two months by Russian-backed militants in the Donbas during the localized war that began in 2014.
