The Violence of Ableism and the Hermeneutics of Disability 

People with neurodivergent bodyminds have long been targets of state and police violence. This talk begins with some thoughts on recent fatal encounters between law enforcement and neurodivergent people of color; it then moves to the era of high eugenics in the U.S. for an examination of some of the ways that disability created and disrupted meaning in dominant cultural forms.
