Energy, Sovereignty, and Environmental Justice in a Global Context with Naaborle Sackeyfio

In this talk, Naaborle Sackeyfio will examine how extractive industries such as hydropower and mining relate to ecological sovereignty, sustainable development, and lifelong learning and adult education. Drawing on African case studies, her work reveals critical insights that resonate across global regions facing similar challenges. This interdisciplinary event will bring together students, faculty, and international scholars to engage in critical dialogue about the relationship between energy systems, ecological sovereignty, environmental justice, and education.
