The Digital Culture and Media Initiative is excited to welcome Alenda Chang and Yuriko Furuhata to a Zoom webinar on “Ecology and Technology"!


Alenda Chang is Associate Professor in Film and Media Studies at the University of California, Santa Barbara as well as the co-founder of Wireframe Studio. She is the author of Playing Nature: Ecology in Video Games (Minnesota, 2019)


Yuri Furuhata is Associate Professor of East Asian Studies and Associate Professor and William Dawson Scholar of Cinema and Media History. She is the author of Cinema of Actuality: Japanese Avant-Garde Filmmaking in the Season of Image Politics (Duke, 2013) and her latest book Climatic Media (2022) is brand new this month from Duke University Press!
