SUMMARY:Emma Parry, “Developing IHRM Insight Using Effective Cross-National Rese
	arch”
DESCRIPTION:\nThere is a long tradition in IHRM research of comparing co
untries\, with national context now recognized as important in developin
g our understanding of undertaking HRM across different cultural and ins
titutional settings. Accompanying the growth in international comparativ
e HRM research is an increasing awareness of the many challenges that ar
ise when simultaneously collecting comparable data across multiple count
ries. The methodological decisions relating to comparative research are
well documented\, but often more salient are the practical and collabora
tive challenges relating to projects aiming to provide valuable insights
across countries. In this webinar\, Emma Parry will draw on her conside
rable experience in designing and undertaking comparative research proje
cts and in managing international research networks such as Cranet and 5
	C. Emma\, together with a panel of eminent scholars from IHRM\, internat
ional management\, and international careers will aim to address these c
hallenges. She will emphasize the importance of taking a pragmatic appro
ach to designing comparative research and discuss the lessons learned in
areas such as data collection and sampling\, selecting suitable partner
s\, and managing an international network.\n\nFor more details: https://
