DESCRIPTION:\nDr. Rory Truex will give his lecture titled: &ldquo\;Perso
	nality and the Party.&rdquo\; dr. Truex is Assistant Professor of Politi
	cs and International Affairs at Princeton University. He studies compara
	tive politics\, focusing on Chinese politics and non-democratic regimes.
	 His book Making Autocracy Work explores the nature of policymaking and 
	representation in China&rsquo\;s legislative system. His current researc
	h focuses on the nature of repression and human rights abuses in contemp
	orary China. He recently received the Stanley Kelley\, Jr. Award for dis
	tinguished teaching. He received his undergraduate degree from Princeton
	 in 2007 and Ph.D. in political science from Yale in 2014.\n\nFor more d
