Elizabeth Ellcessor is associate professor of media studies at University of Virginia. She is the author of In Case of Emergency: How Technologies Mediate Crisis and Normalize Inequality (New York University Press 2022) and Restricted Access: Media, Disability, and the Politics of Participation (New York University Press 2016), and the co-editor of Disability Media Studies (New York University Press 2017) and JCMS: Journal of Cinema and Media Studies.
