	\nHerman Pontzer\, professor of evolutionary anthropology and research a
	ssociate professor of global health at Duke University\, investigates ho
	w our deep\, evolutionary past shapes our lives today. His team conducte
	d the first measurements of daily energy expenditure in traditional hunt
	er-gatherers and in non-human apes\, with discoveries that have changed 
	the way we think about diet\, exercise\, metabolism\, and health. Pontze
	r\, an undergraduate alumnus of Penn State&rsquo\;s Department of Anthro
	pology published his book\,&nbsp\;Burn\,&nbsp\;in March 2021. A receptio
