“Punishment in Polarized Times: How Political Divisions Built, Slowed, and now Refuse to Dismantle the Prison State”

Scott Duxbury is an associate professor and the director of graduate studies in the Department of Sociology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and an associate editor of Sociological Methodology. His research fields are computational social science, crime, law, and deviance; the sociology of punishment, social networks, methodology, public opinion and American politics; race and racism; and media and technology.
