	\n\nUniversity of Cincinnati\n\nNeşe Devenot\, Ph.D. (she/they) is a pos
	tdoctoral associate at the Institute for Research in Sensing (IRiS) at t
	he University of Cincinnati\, and a former lecturer in comparative liter
	ature at Penn State. She previously completed a postdoctoral fellowship 
	in the Department of Bioethics at the Case Western Reserve University Sc
	hool of Medicine\, and she received a doctorate in comparative literatur
	e from the University of Pennsylvania. Her research focuses on the funct
	ion of metaphor and other literary devices in narrative accounts of psyc
	hedelic experiences\, in addition to studying bioethical approaches to p
	sychedelic medicine. They were awarded Best Humanities Publication in Ps
	ychedelic Studies from Breaking Convention in 2016 and received the Arti
	cle Prize for Best Publication in Romanticism Studies from European Roma
	ntic Review in 2020. They were also awarded a 2015&ndash\;16 Research Fe
	llowship at the New York Public Library&rsquo\;s Timothy Leary papers an
	d served as research Fellow with the New York University Psilocybin Canc
	er Anxiety Study\, where they participated in the first qualitative stud
