“Climate Optimism as Activism”
Using Digital Media to Cut Through the Noise and Give Us Hope

Join the Penn State School of Public Policy for a discussion with Ben Brown and Ciara Doyle, co-founders of Going Green Media, as they share their journey of documenting sustainable solutions around the world.

In a media landscape often dominated by environmental doom, Ben and Ciara have built a planet-first, solution-oriented media brand that reaches millions of viewers monthly. They’ll discuss how digital storytelling can be a powerful form of climate activism, highlighting innovations and changemakers who are actively creating a more sustainable future.

With backgrounds in architecture, design, and media, and having visited over 200 green projects globally, Ben and Ciara bring unique perspectives on sustainable design, conscious travel, plant-based living, ethical fashion, green technology, and wildlife conservation. Their work has been featured in Forbes, Euronews, Travel + Leisure, and VegNews.

This event offers a refreshing dose of climate optimism during challenging times of environmental policy rollbacks. Come learn how compelling digital content can inspire meaningful action and hope for our planet's future.

Open to all Penn State students, faculty, staff, and community members interested in sustainability, media, activism, and positive change.
