Chenjerai, a 1995 graduate in African American Studies and 2013 graduate in Media Studies, is the creator and host of Empire City—named one of the top ten podcasts of 2024 by The New York Times, The New Yorker, and Time Magazine. He also serves as an assistant professor at NYU’s Arthur L. Carter Journalism Institute.
