SUMMARY:Centre Helps Information Session
DESCRIPTION:\nCentre Helps\, a 501(c)(3) organization located in State C
	ollege\, Pennsylvania. As an organization we are dedicated to bettering 
	the lives of all community members who feel like they have nowhere to tu
	rn. Our services are vast but all focus on connecting people in need wit
	h appropriate resources and empowering them to make choices that create 
	positive change in their lives. Some of the specific services we provide
	 are a 24/7 hotline that is operated by our extensively trained voluntee
	r counselors. Our hotline counselors take calls ranging from crisis inte
	rvention (we are a National Suicide Prevention Lifeline call center)\, g
	eneral counseling and emotional support\, to resource referral using our
	 database of over 700 resources. Another of our primary programs is a ba
	sic-needs program\, designed to help clients meet their basic needs thro
	ugh financial\, housing\, and food assistance. Our final primary program
	 is the Youthful Offenders Program (YOP) which is a court-mandated educa
	tional program that educates participants on the effects of drugs and al
	cohol and (when appropriate) recommends practices for safe use.\n\nWe ar
	e able to provide these services through the hard work and dedication of
	 our volunteers. We offer an administrative assistant intern position as
	 well as a hotline counselor position. If you are interested in a career
