	n\, the Charles Howard Candler Professor of African American Studies at

	on is Destroying Our Democracy.\n\nIn this lecture\, Anderson will chron
	icle the rollbacks to African American participation in the vote since t
	he 2013 Shelby County v. Holder Supreme Court decision that many argue e
	viscerated the Voting Rights Act of 1965. She follows the story of gover
	nment-dictated racial discrimination unfolding as more and more states s
	eek to restrict voter access through photo ID requirements\, gerrymander
	ing\, poll closures\, and other measures. \n\nAnderson&rsquo\;s latest b
	ook is The Second: Race and Guns in a Fatally Unequal America. Both One
