SUMMARY:Career Conversations: FBI Supervisor
DESCRIPTION:\nJoin us for an informal alumni conversation to learn about
	 a variety of career journeys.\n\nJohn Warrington is a Supervisory Speci
	al Agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) leading the Char
	leston and Hilton Head offices for all criminal investigative and crisis
	 response matters. Mr. Warrington has more than twenty-five years of law
	 enforcement\, intelligence\, and tactical work experience. He specializ
	es in security protocol development\, dignitary and workforce deployment
	 protection\, threat analysis\, and tactical operations.\n\nFrom 1993 to
	 1999\, Mr. Warrington served as a patrol officer with the United States
	 Capitol Police and Fairfax County Police Departments. In 1999\, Mr. War
	rington was selected as a Special Agent and attended the FBI Academy in 
	Quantico\, Virginia. Upon completion of training\, he reported to the Ph
	iladelphia Field Office\, where he was a member of the Philadelphia SWAT
	 Team and worked violent crime\, fugitive\, and Latin American and Carib
	bean drug trafficking cases.\n\n&nbsp\;In 2003\, Mr. Warrington transfer
	red to the Washington Field Office to join the FBI Director&#39\;s Prote
	ction Detail. In this role\, Mr. Warrington provided personnel protectio
	n and operational security for FBI Director\, Robert Mueller and his fam
	ily across the United States and over 50 countries worldwide. Following 
	this role\, he deployed to Afghanistan in 2011\, where he investigated k
	idnapping and violent crime matters affecting the United States homeland
	 together with Afghani officials. Upon his return\, Mr. Warrington repor
	ted to the FBI Pittsburgh Field Office\, where he was a SWAT Team Leader
	 and case agent\, investigating healthcare and drug diversion cases.\n\n
	&nbsp\;In September 2013\, Mr. Warrington reported back to Washington\, 
	D.C.\, to serve as Unit Chief of the Protective Operations Unit. This un
	it maintains protection details for the United States Attorney General\,
	 the FBI Director\, the FBI Deputy Director\, their families\, and also 
	provides protection services for FBI and DOJ executives and staff. Withi
	n this role\, Mr. Warrington led the protection strategies for the trans
	itions of FBI Directors Mueller to Comey\, and Attorney Generals Holder 
	to Lynch.\n\n&nbsp\;In Jne 2015\, Mr. Warrington transferred to the Inte
	rnational Operations Division as the Unit Chief of the Global Readiness 
	Unit responsible for the readiness of FBI employees and their families d
	eploying overseas.\n\n&nbsp\;Mr. Warrington has consulted with the Unite
	d States Secret Service\, State Department\, and Capitol Police for best
	 practices in facility and force protection matters\, and multiple priva
	te sector partners including CBS&rsquo\;s &ldquo\;Criminal Minds: Beyond
	 Borders&rdquo\;\, ADT\, and Gavin De Becker and Associates for active s
	hooter\, back to school safety\, and international travel security matte
	rs.\n\n&nbsp\;Mr. Warrington earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Indi
	vidual and Family Studies and a Master of Psychology in Leadership from
