Career Conversation: Translation and Interpretation

Interested in a career in translation and interpretation? Curious about working abroad? Join alumnus, Ben Stewart to hear about his career journey throughout the industry.

Ben Stewart '15

Ben Stewart is a 2015 graduate of the Schreyer Honors College at Penn State University with degrees in Spanish and Russian. He worked at PSU as a Teaching Assistant and Research Assistant before joining the Peace Corps to serve in Ukraine in 2016, where he spent just over two years teaching English, designing and carrying out grant-based project work, and developing his Russian and Ukrainian language skills. Since completing his service, he has worked as a freelance interpreter/translator on a wide variety of projects, from TV shows to full-length books to video games (and less captivating things as well that don't really belong in a bio).

The Career Conversation Series is provided by the Career Enrichment Network. If you have any questions, please contact lanetwork@psu.edu or 814-865-1070.
