DESCRIPTION:\nInterested in a career in nonprofit or philanthropy? Curio
	us about working abroad? Join alumna Sydney Wheeler to hear about her ca
	reer journey throughout the industry.&nbsp\;\n\nSydney Wheeler &#39\;12\
	n\nSydney Wheeler graduated from Penn State in 2012 with majors in Human
	 Geography\, French and Francophone Studies\, and Global and Internation
	al Studies. As a student\, she had the opportunity to study in France an
	d in Senegal through Penn State&#39\;s study abroad programs. She then m
	oved to France to work as an English language assistant in disadvantaged
	 rural neighborhoods before pursuing a master&#39\;s degree in political
	 science at Universit&eacute\; Lumi&egrave\;re Lyon II. After changing p
	rograms\, she completed two internships at local and international nonpr
	ofit organizations and earned her master&#39\;s degree in international 
	project management with a specialization in humanitarian action and inte
	rnational relations in 2015 from l&#39\;Ecole Sup&eacute\;rieur de Comme
	rce et de D&eacute\;veloppement 3A. Sydney has since had the pleasure of
	 working with large international nonprofits\, such as Humanity &amp\; I
	nclusion (prev. Handicap International) and smaller\, more locally-focus
	ed groups such as Helen Keller Europe\, where she has developed a new ey
	e health program in France and is currently program director.\n\nSydney 
	lives in Paris with her husband and two cats and in her spare time\, enj
	oys being outside\, gardening and baking. She also volunteers when possi
	ble\, with local CSAs and refugee and immigration service organizations.
