Dr. Joyce Ladner: My Life in the Civil Rights Movement

Joyce Ladner, a sociologist and author who participated in the civil rights movement in Mississippi in the 1960s, is seen at her home in Washington, DC on September 12, 2014. Ladner said that it seems like the country has lost some of the progress made in the civil rights movement. But she is still optimistic about the power of the latest generation of activists to effect change on a level similar to the civil rights movement of the 1960s.
