Asian Studies Lecture Series Presents: Venerable Soorakkulame Pemarathana
“Beyond Mindfulness: Cultivating a Wise and Kind Heart”

Mindfulness fosters a deeper understanding of how we function as human beings. Yet understanding alone is not enough. We must also learn how to transform ourselves in order to experience true freedom and wellbeing—for ourselves and for others.

In this talk, we will explore the teachings of the Buddha that nurture the human capacity for wisdom and kindness, and discover how these qualities can be cultivated in our daily lives.
