American Shakespeare Center will perform “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”

The American Shakespeare Center (ASC) brings its 2019/20 National Tour to Penn State University Park with the performance of William Shakespeare’s "A Midsummer Night’s Dream" on November 7, 2019 at Eisenhower Auditorium. Music begins at 6:30 p.m., and the show starts at 7:00 p.m.

Premium tickets for ASC performances are normally $50/person; however, thanks to the generosity of the Penn State Department of English admission to this event is FREE and open to the public.

The ASC brings a unique performance style to Eisenhower Auditorium, blending Shakespeare’s stagecraft with modern sensibility. The company uses Shakespeare’s staging conditions: universal lighting, minimal sets, character doubling, cross-gender casting, and live music. The National Tour shares light with the audience throughout the performance for a unique brand of audience contact rarely seen in theatre today.

Tickets for "A Midsummer Night’s Dream" are available beginning October 7 at the Eisenhower Auditorium Box Office (814-863-0255).
